FLAMANTE es un proyecto de investigación musical llevado a cabo por el artista audiovisual Derek Van Den Bulcke. Entendiendo la música popular, la danza y más concretamente el flamenco, como un campo de producción cultural y como una herramienta de lectura de las territorialidades emergentes, se realiza un análisis y relectura de las prácticas folclóricas habituales. Esa relectura se efectúa esencialmente a partir de la incorporación de nuevos elementos teniendo en cuenta, por un lado, cuestiones marginales, rechazadas y olvidadas por los análisis tradicionales, y por otro lado, el uso de recursos propios de la contemporaneidad como pueden ser el sampling, la apropiación , el glitch o el marketing digital. Todo ello para decodificar y resignificar las normas de estilo que asientan cualquier género.

FLAMANTE is a musical research project carried out by the audiovisual artist Derek Van Den Bulcke. Understanding popular music, dance and more specifically flamenco, as a field of cultural production and as a tool for reading emerging territorialities, the artist carries out an analysis and observation of the usual folkloric practices. The music is made from the incorporation of new elements taking into account, on the one hand, marginal issues, rejected and forgotten by traditional analyses, and on the other hand, the use of contemporary resources such as sampling, appropriation, glitch or digital marketing. All this to decode and resignify the style norms that establish any genre.
