Musicalmente, la propuesta de Dopelganger es lo opuesto a una mitad oscura o al duplicado malévolo al que parece apuntar su nombre, inspirado en el vocablo alemán doppelgänger. En su caso, la visión del doble andante parece esquivar la reinterpretación del recurso del evil twin y describir el fértil campo de interacción apuntalado por los complementarios perfiles de Garazi Navas y Miguel A. García.

En términos generales, la unión insólita (y afinada) de estos dos universos creativos enlaza con naturalidad la obra de arte elevada y la música exploratoria más subterránea. Y “Stramimic” continúa explorando esta dimensión híbrida, aunque debemos señalar que si las composiciones aquí recogidas desprenden luz -una luz cegadora- no es porque Mikel y Garazi unifiquen mundos generalmente contrapuestos o porque empuñen la espada de la heterodoxia, sino porque esta es blandida con imaginación y riesgo. También es significativo que en esta casete compartan protagonismo el gesto y la atmósfera, y que esta última se expanda hasta fondos tenebrosos o inquietantes. Hasta ambientes sombríos que alcanzan a la esencia misma de las cosas, que no subrayan. Oh, such a deep ocean… un vasto océano que es profundo e intenso, pero también sobrio, escueto, preciso…

Musically, Dopelganger's proposal is the opposite of a dark half or the malevolent doubling to which its name seems to point, inspired by the German word doppelgänger. In fact, the vision of the walking double seems to dodge the reinterpretation of the evil twin resource and describe the fertile field of interaction underpinned by the complementary profiles of Garazi Navas and Miguel A. García.

In general terms, the unusual (and fine-tuned) union of these two creative universes naturally links the elevated work of art and the most subterranean exploratory music. And "Stramimic" continues to explore this hybrid dimension, although we must point out that if the compositions collected here give off light - a blinding light - it is not because Mikel and Garazi unite worlds that are generally opposed or because they wield the sword of heterodoxy, but because it is wielded with imagination and risk. It is also significant that in this cassette, gesture and atmosphere play a pivotal role, and that the latter delves into dark or disturbing recesses. And sombre atmospheres that reach the very essence of things, which they do not underline. Oh, such a deep ocean... a vast ocean that is deep and intense, but also sober, concise, precise...
