Tbh (to be honest): Grabación en directo en la sala BBK, Bilbao, el día 11 de abril del 2019.

Airu nace en verano de 2018 con la publicación de un breve EP autoeditado bajo el nombre de Honestly. En él encontramos ‘The Centre Cannot Hold’ y ‘You Cut Like Corn’, cuyos títulos respectivamente representan un guiño tanto a una obra literaria (​The Second Coming,​ W. B. Yeats) como cinematográfica (​Tom à la ferme​, Xavier Dolan). En febrero de 2019 se estrena el sencillo ‘No Hands You Can Shake’ con un ritmo más pausado y un tono apagado y melancólico que retratan cierta sensación de incertidumbre.
Estas tres canciones forman parte de Tbh junto con ‘Cigarettes’, ‘Liebe’, y ‘Forever Dolphin Love’ (original de Connan Mockasin). Además, al tratarse de un formato en directo, las canciones toman un sonido distinto al que hasta día de hoy se puede encontrar en plataformas digitales. A airu le interesan las relaciones hipertextuales para así crear letras surgidas de algo previamente existente aunque a veces éstas se alejen del significado original.

Tbh (to be honest): Live recording at Sala BBK, Bilbao, on the 11th of April 2019.

Airu presented their ​first brief self-produced EP under the name of Honestly in the summer of 2018. ‘The Centre Cannot Hold’ and ‘You Cut Like Corn’, the two songs featured in it, showed some kind of connection with both a literary (​The Second Coming​, W. B. Yeats) and a cinematographic artwork (​Tom at the Farm​, Xavier Dolan). In february 2019 the new single ‘No Hands You Can Shake’ was released, this time with a slower rhythm as well as melancholic tone representing the subject of uncertainty.
The three songs mentioned above are included in Tbh together with ‘Cigarettes’, ‘Liebe’ and ‘Forever Dolphin Love’ (originally by Connan Mockasin). As a live performance, all songs are different from what one can listen to on digital platforms. Airu are interested in hypertextuality and often create their lyrics from already existing content, even if meanings may vary.
