Leukolenos es una colección de piezas y pequeños estudios para órgano eléctrico y feedback. Originalmente pensadas como demos para mi trío Helena, fueron creciendo y desarrollándose hasta que vi que debían ser tratadas como un proyecto en sí mismas.

Al no disponer de un espacio fijo (todo "vive" en cajas en una pequeña habitación de mi piso), cada día que trabajaba en él debía seleccionar el set, montarlo, estudiarlo y ver si me funcionaba con el plan que tenía en mente. Ninguna pieza comparte el mismo setup, y la naturaleza inestable de algunos montajes (feedback de mis pedales de fuzz de adolescencia, equs en rack en mal estado, los ruidos inesperados de la mixer, etc) hacen que relación entre los distintos temas de la cinta tenga más que ver con el concepto (desarrollos lentos o inexistentes, sonoridades agresivas en un contexto contenido) y la intención (carácter religioso/litúrgico) que con una estética sonora en particular.

Las dos caras son independientes.

Leukolenos is a collection of pieces and short etudes for electric organ and feedback. Originally conceived as demos for my Helena trio, they kept growing and developing until the moment I realized they should stand as an independent project.

Since I don't have a permanent studio space (all my stuff lives in boxes in a small room on my flat), every time I wanted to work on this music I had to choose the set, make up some space on my room's floor, patch it up, and consider if it worked with the plan I had in mind. None of the tracks share the same setup, and the unstable nature of some of the combinations (feedback chains with my teenage fuzz pedals, old rack equ, unexpected noises on my mixer...) makes the relation of the different pieces of the tape be more based on a shared concept (slow or nonexistent developments, aggressive timbres in a contemplative context) and intention (devotional/religious character) than in a specific sound aesthetic.

The two tape sides are independent.
